About Ridglea

Ridglea Heights Baptist Church is located in between the Escatawpa and Big Point area of Jackson County Mississippi. Historically, RHBC has been highly involved in our local association (JCBA), local community (Home of Grace, Mercy House, Youth for Christ), and missions (FCM of Honduras, Disaster Relief, etc.). Our strategy for carrying the Gospel to all the world has been to consistently model the “love God and love people” imperative of Jesus (Matthew 22). We are bold in the Word of God and reach out with open hands to our surrounding community and the world. Our annual attendance on Sunday mornings averaged 250 people in 2023. Our Sunday morning small group attendance averaged 130 during that same year.

In 2024, we have had two of our long time staff members retire. Our former pastor, Bro Steve Cirlot, served here for 27 years as Lead Pastor. Bro. Steve is currently serving part-time as pastor in a neighboring county. Our former Children’s Minister, Mrs. Lenita Long, served here for 10 years. She and her family still attend RHBC. Our current pastor, Dustin Stewart, served as our Student/Education/Associate Pastor for 18 years before accepting the call to pastor in August of 2024. We also have our Worship/Facilities Pastor, Mitch Osborne, who has served here for 23 years.

Our community is in the East Central School district of Jackson County. Residents of Jackson County enjoy a higher average income than most of Mississippi due to the abundance of industrial and service jobs here on the coast. Home prices are lower than the national average and the cost of living is as well. Our community is 30 miles west of Mobile, Alabama. We are also 30 miles east of Biloxi, Mississippi. The coastal setting provides opportunities for art, concerts, water activities, fishing, and much more.
